Jasmine,China White
Welcome to my blog...I launched CHINA WHITE on Dragon’s Den New Zealand in 2006 to promote an awareness for white tea and its many health benefits. I believe CHINA WHITE is the first of its kind in New Zealand to produce super healthy bottled organic ice teas...

White tea and Skincare
Well it has been a while...a lot of changes in the time since I last posted an update.
Excited to report that China White looseleaf tea sales are still going strong. More recently as many local Christchurch businesses have either re-opened or relocated to new premises.
Still continuing to receive enquiries through word of mouth, not only locally but more recently from as far as Northland in the North, and Picton in the South Island.
As an update, as well as continuing to manage and run China White, I also now contract to Linden Leaves Limited, a Christchurch based award winning bodycare company, as their Corporate Sales Manager and Aromatherapist. I really enjoy promoting their new Skincare range where 7 facial skincare products include organic white tea...a great synergy between the two brands!

CHINA WHITE after 22 February quake
A few photos taken around home on the day of the destructive earthquake on 22 February 2011, in Christchurch.
What a challenging 8 months it has been for all in Christchurch and Canterbury, since the day the first quake struck on 4 September. For China White, fortunately our families, customers and suppliers are all safe and well. My heart goes out to those who have suffered the loss of loved ones. I feel deep sadness for my customers who have lost their businesses that include many cafes, retail outlets, also supermarkets.
With a very damaged house that is fortunately still liveable but may possibly need to be demolished, we cannot imagine how it would feel to be displaced at this time or have a home that is condemned. We feel so incredibly lucky to be safe and well. Our little Lily, now a wee toddler keeps us smiling and happy.
3 months on, things are beginning to progress and now looking forward to planning the next steps for China White. It helps greatly that some of my customers are planning to rebuild or reopen their businesses. They have a strong will to pursue their ambitions, goals and passions and succeed. This is what drives me.
Moving into winter, plans are in place to focus on my looseleaf tea range. How wonderful it is to have tremendous support from my customers outside the Christchurch area, showing they are very keen to help support small Christchurch businesses. I feel incredibly grateful for the unexpected opportunities that continue to present themselves following this strange turn of events. Watch this space!

China White organic white tea featured in today's Sunday Star Times in the FOOD/the pantry section of Escape. What a great photo and write-up...
'Once reserved as a luxury beverage for the Emperor of China, white tea comes from the same plant as black and green teas but is picked younger and undergoes very little processing, leaving it light and delicate in taste.
